The Hills Hotel

In Laguna Hills, The Hills Hotel had a problem. The hotel had a dated, 40-year old analog system that needed upgrading to digital but was in the process of remodeling. GriffComm solved their problems by creating a 2 step plan for the upgrades. We completed the underground portion of the work to provide the hotel with a temporary cable service while the remodel took place.

In the second phase of the project a year later, we returned to the hotel to rewire all 147 rooms and the hotel common areas and switch the service to the permanent cable system. We worked with management to complete all work without disrupting the hotel guests or disrupting hotel business. As a result, the hotel was able to offer its guests the flat screen televisions and superior cable service that was critical for its success in customer satisfaction.

Pacific Edge Hotel

The Pacific Edge Hotel is a family-friendly Laguna Beach hotel that offers amazing views of the ocean. But what it couldn’t offer its guests were the functioning televisions and gaming systems they were expecting! The hotel brought in GriffComm to rewire its four separate buildings and bring them up to date with modern technology.

The buildings were repurposed residential historic homes, providing a challenge for modern wiring. We were able to rewire the existing structures while the hotel was open and conducting business. In addition to enhancing the cable speed and service to the functional levels modern families expect, we were able to add wifi service to the hotel grounds as well.

Freedom Village

What happens with over 350 senior citizens don’t have a reliable phone or television service? Call GriffComm! That was exactly the case at Freedom Village, a senior living complex comprising two assisted living buildings and one skilled care facility. The 360 unit complex did not have a conduit system and its residents were paying the price. With terrible television reception and fickle telephone service, the residents were undeniably aggravated.

GriffComm was able to build a conduit system on the roof and rewire the entire complex with minimal disturbance to the residents. The mere 15 minutes of room access needed to provide the updates in service was well-received by the senior residents, who welcomed our team members as the heroes of the day for upgrading their service to ideal levels! Our own CEO Dawn Griffith even spent time on site with residents to help explain the process with them and hear their thoughts as work was completed.

project

St. John Neumann Catholic Church

We were invited to St. John Neumann Catholic Church to facilitate a first in Catholic Churches: the installation of cameras and television screens in the sanctuary. With over 9,000 parishioners, the church was chosen to be at the forefront of new technology.

The big challenge in the St. John Neumann Catholic Church project was ensuring we did not disturb the over 20 different services held in the sanctuary each week. Working with the church staff we were able to perform the requested work without sacrificing or disrupting the many masses, memorials, or confession hours on their busy schedule.

The Atrium Hotel

The Atrium Hotel located near John Wayne Airport in Orange County, CA caters to business executives but was lacking in updated wiring. The hotel lacked a conduit system and needed service to be efficient across its 208 guest rooms and private executive business center.

GriffComm created a conduit system and completely rewired the hotel, all without disrupting the important work of the hotel’s guests by working weekends when business guests wouldn’t be affected. The hotel was so pleased with the work that they hired us back a year later to extend that service to the outdoor barrand pool cabana areas so that guests were able to access TV and wifi from anywhere on the grounds.

project

UC Irvine Dormitories

With over 1,000 dorm rooms and weak internet service, the UCI dorms were not serving their residents to ideal standards. The university brought GriffComm in to upgrade the service over a very tight timeline school break.

With careful planning, our team was able to rewire the dorms to strengthen the internet signal and provide wifi to the rooms and common areas, all during a very short time period. This upgrade allowed students to work not only in their own rooms but to fully utilize the common areas for their laptop tasks as well.

project

St. Regis Hotel

When a hotel serves high-end clientele, guests expect the very best. This was the case at the St. Regis Hotel in Dana Point. Unfortunately, the hotel was on the LodgeNet system that badly needed to be replaced.

GriffComm was able to update the system to a cable provider seamlessly without disturbing the guests. The work was done without ever entering the guest rooms or disrupting the guest’s five-star experience. After the work was complete the St. Regis Hotel was truly ready to give its guests the luxurious experience they deserve.

project

Newport Beach Civic Center

Newport Beach was building a new civic center and wanted to make a splash with a live television broadcast grand opening announcement. GriffComm was brought in to provide the underground Cox fiber and coaxial system in partnership with the internal wiring by the union team.

With three days until the big announcement, the union workers were unable to complete the work, and the city turned to us to help save the day and make the broadcast occur without delay. GriffComm added more cabling to connect the system and complete the needed work to allow the broadcast to take place as planned. The city expressed its relief and satisfaction that their big day wasn’t delayed thanks to the fast work of the GriffComm team.
